Otto Mitter

Musician, Producer, DJ : Otto Mitter started his musical journey as a song writer and bass player. Throughout the years he has co founded numerous acts such as The Julian Date, Kwerkshoppe, Bowser, Deep Dreamer, Rubber Johnson and No Siesta. His unmistakable talent has seen him collaborate with further acts such as Igloo, Madison Kat and All Good Funk Alliance as well as having material remixed by the likes of Fort Knox Five, Socafrica (Jeremy Sylvester), Slyde, Ninelives The Cat and DJ Katch.

Through his contributions to the music scene he has gained many a fan through his extensive touring around Australia, national airplay on triple J and numerous album, ep and single releases. His musicianship has also made him fortunate enough to sign a publishing deal with industry heavy weights EMI.

Otto’s DJaying skills and professionalism have seen him score gigs from the musical director at QLD fashion Week to a Mash up set with Ministry of Sound at Suncorp Stadium in front of 35,000 people.

All in all Otto Mitter has rocked the crowds at great clubs all around Australia such as The Espy (Melb), The Basement, The Civic, Bondi Beach Hotel (Syd), Beach Hotel (Byron), Elsewhere, Berlin Bar, Mybar, Qbar, Swinging Safari (GC), Empire Hotel, The Zoo, Step Inn, The Arena (Bris). As well as festival appearances at Summafieldayze, Big Day Out, Parklife and Ambiwerra Jazz Festival too name a few.

Otto’s thirst for musical styles have seen him not only perform, produce and release a wide array of material but also has given him a great understanding of the energy and emotion in music and this can be heard by simply witnessing one of his performances.
