Katia’s music is innovative, inspiring and written from the heart. She draws her inspiration from artist such as Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Billy Holiday, Tracey Chapman, India Arie and many more.

Katia’s music and lyrics really reflect passion for LIFE, LOVE, MUSIC and the ongoing quest to re-connect with ones true self. She draws inspiration from her life journey and Mother Nature’s incredible beauty. With an eclectic blend of acoustic soul combined with a touch of jazzy blues, reggae roots fusion; it's bound to move you and take you on a journey of reflection and inspiration to look within and allow yourself to go through the motion with the emphasis on the present moment!

Katia first started her musical journey in high school by singing at concerts and performing in a cultural group, which was later followed by joining a 5 piece covers band at 17. Later she was inspired to learn the guitar so she could write her own songs. After a few years of creating music from home Katia got confident enough to venture out and started buskin regularly in markets around Queensland, there she met a 2 piece called Pan with 2 amazing double neck Spanish guitar players and went on tour to NSW and VIC playing several different Markets and Festivals, this gave Katia more inspiration to then go out and play more music which then led to playing solo gigs at private functions, café’s and bars around the Gold Coast and Brisbane, due to her passion for playing music, as well as playing solo/duo/band Katia is also involved in other musical projects. Currently singing back up vocals, dances and plays Flute and Saxophone for rocking local gold coast reggae/funk band CC The Cat and occasionally features with many other artist like Andrea Soler the Lamplights and Sounds of the Sun.

Katia loves nothing more then to explore the many pathways of music. As a soloist/duo/band and as part of various other musical projects. Katia has played at Festivals such as Island Vibe, Nimbin Mardi Grass, Green Day out, Parklife, D’alliance, Kirra Kite Festival , Earth Freq, Southern Oracle, Roots Reggae Festival, Beat Machine, Organic River festival NZ, Parihaka International Peace Festival NZ, Coro Festival NZ, Multicultural Festival VIC, and has also had residency playing covers and originals at The Cave Nobby beach, the Palmy café Palm beach, Skypoint AKA Qbar Q1 Surfers Paradise, Babalou Kingscliff, Fuel Bar chevron island, Genki café Palm Beach, Swinging Safari Surfers paradise, Albion Hotel Brisbane, The Patch Coolangatta, Currumbin RSL, PBC Markets and Carrara Markets.

Katia is now also working on putting together a new band with the name Gypsy Soul Fire and funky new band members and is now ready to take the music to a next level and has sight on performing at many different festivals, traveling and playing music all around the world and to explore the many magical paths that music flows through in order share a joyful positive vibe and learn about the power of music. The most beautiful form of expression!! Katia is in the process of putting together a new album with a mixture of Soul, R&B and funky world reggae roots vibes to take you on a musical journey featuring a collective of amazing artist and her new Drum and Bass line up! Katia also plays a wide variety of cover songs with more then 200 songs in her repetoir with a very eclectic taste ranging from Tracy Chapman to Powder Finger, Sade to Creeedance Clear Water and many more to suit the many different taste buds.

Katia is an emerging artist, her music is fresh with a hint of sass and spice that has uplifting elements with the emphasis focusing on the NOW!
