Darren Somerville

Born in the South end of the U.K. DJ Darren Somerville has never been a stranger to the world of music. At the early age of 5 Darren took up the piano, and was playing in lounges and foyers as early as 10 years old. He branched out to other instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and trumpet. Always having an interest in DJing, Darren eventually earned enough pocket money to buy his first set of turntables. Having so much talent playing multiple instruments, mixing records came naturally.

Darren’s Flair and passion for music soon saw him managing a Gold Coast record store, Victory Music, where his taste in quality House and Funk led him to be a weekly stop for locals and internationals wanting to re stock their crate.

Now both a DJ and Producer, Darren Somerville has pleased many crowds and played many great venues. He's played Palazzo Versace, Central, The Consortium, Swing’n Safari, Qbar (Q1 Building), Alto, The Blue Room, The Temple, Heritage, Mp’s, Bo jangles and The Clock Hotel just to name a few.

As a producer his influences are many, yet his sound is like no other.

As a dj his selection is tasty and will keep you well fed all night.
